We've had the wonderful Soulines Kubrick turntable in our demo system for sometime now and we have had a variety of phono cartridges fitted to the Jelco SA-750 9" tonearm. 

The Brinkmann EMT ti phono cartridge performed well mounted in the Jelco arm [see photo above] and as good as the Jelco arm is, we thought we weren't really getting the best from both the Kubrick turntable and Brinkmann EMT cartridge.

Over the years we've been fortunate enough to listen on a regular basis to the outstanding Brinkmann 10.5 tonearm and for us, the Brinkmann was an easy choice for a tonearm upgrade.

We were in contact with Igor from Soulines in Serbia with the specifications for the Brinkmann 10.5 tonearm and he assured us that the longer tonearm could be mounted on the Kubrick turntable and Igor was kind enough to manufacture an amboard to suit the Brinkmann 10.5 and arranged for it to be shipped to us here in Melbourne.

The new armboard fitted perfectly to the Kubrick and we have been enjoying this sensational combination now for the last couple of weeks. I have to tell you, this is a major step up from the Jelco tonearm. The combination of the Kubrick, Brinkmann 10.5 and Brinkmann EMT ti delivers simply stunning performance, that really needs to be heard over a thorough listening session, to fully appreciate the resolution, clarity and dynamics we are now experiencing from this vinyl rig.

The Soulines Kubrick with Brinkmann 10.5 tonearm and Brinkmann EMT ti cartridge will be one of two turntables we will be exhibiting and playing at the International Hi Fi Show [1st, 2nd & 3rd of July 2016] and you'll find us in room 1203.
